Dragon Auction September 7th & 8th 2024
Auction Weekend at the Cwmamman Resource Centre Ammanford. Main Auction Sunday 8th at 11:00am
The annual Dragon Bonsai Auction will be held over the weekend of 7th and 8th September. All items can be booked in from 10:00am on the Saturday morning - at the Resource Centre.

The SAT NAV might not get you to the actual location - so you need to turn down off the main road A474 and follow the road all the way down - over the railway crossing to a T junction. Turn LEFT - there will be signs up on the day. Follow the road up and to the left - and the centre is at the end of a narrow lane.
If you use Google Maps - just type in " Cwmamman Resource Centre" and this will bring up the maps etc.
The main auction is on the Sunday ( 8th September ) and will start at 11:00am. There will be tea / coffee / soft drinks and snacks for sale throughout the weekend. Anyone arriving on the Saturday - there will be a chip-shop run around 6.30 - 7.30pm . There is also a Kebab takeaway just up from the centre - which is a 3 min walk.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THE AUCTION IS CASH ONLY.
All auction items will be available for viewing from the Saturday morning - and as more things get booked in, these will be put out with their Lot numbers on the tables in the hall.
You MUST have a bidders card - which you can pick up on the Sunday morning before the auction starts. We can't accept bids or sales unless you have your allocated bidders / sellers card.
SELLERS - anything you sell will have a 10% commission taken off for the Club. This will be worked out for you on the sale sheet you will be given at the end of the Auction. This sheet will itemise anything you have sold or bought.
There will be a break for a light lunch at around 12:30 for around 30 mins.
When the auction ends, we kindly ask that buyers and sellers wait for the people that have the furthest to travel home get served first. We will have a system as used previously that will print out your buying / selling sheet and list the items & the balance. This is CASH only - there is no facility for any other type of payment.
We will have a team that will go and fetch the items for you - please don't go and start picking things up . The Dragon Team will do this.
The auction is CASH ONLY . Payment and payouts will be made before anything is allowed to be collected.
At the end of the Auction, some sellers may offer up any un-sold items - You are more than welcome to do this, but please let us know - as we need to take 10% commission for all sales on the day
Accommodation & Parking
If you are travelling some distance for the event, the Resource Centre has up to 4 double rooms that can be booked in advance.
You can book an overnight stay on the Saturday night for £25.00 - this will include a breakfast on the Sunday morning. If you need to book - please contact Chris on 07798 798 194.
There is limited parking at the back of the centre, but you can also park along the road side just before the turning to the lane. We always try and get the people with a long homeward journey sorted out 1st.
